This is a 1 day course.
What we will cover relating to flats with a top floor less than 18 meters above ground level:
- Assess the requirements B1, B2, B3, B4, and B5 of schedule 1 of the Building Regulations 2010.
- Consideration of the approved guidance within AD B Volume 1 relating to early warning systems and means of escape.
- Consideration of the approved guidance within AD B Volume 1 relating to internal fire spread (linings).
- Examination of the requirement relating to fire resistance and compartmentation (Requirement B3 - internal fire spread structure) with analysis of the approved guidance within AD B Volume 1.
- Analyse the guidance for compliance with B4 - External fire spread, including walls, roofs and unprotected areas.
- Identify the factors influencing the provision of fire service access. Assess the requirements of Regulation 38 - Fire safety information.
